 Esperia is the only hotel and self-catering by the marvellous beach of the "Tono", a few minutes away from Milazzo town centre. The Tono beach is an ideal seaside resort located in the final part of the Western Riviera. Besides the crystal-clear sea and the fiery red sunsets, it offers a fascinating view of the Aeolian Islands on one side and Mount Etna on the other. Esperia Hotel, which owes its name to its position along the Western Riviera ('esperos' in ancient Greek meant west), offers its guests a stretch of reserved and equipped beach.
For those who arrive by ship or from the northern coast of Sicily, Milazzo appears as a strip of emerged land stretching out for about seven kilometres into the Tyrrhenian Sea towards the Aeolian Islands. The remains of a big river delta which is nearly 30 sq. Km, now become a wide and fertile plain, rich in water-tables, connect the peninsula to the Peloritani Mountains.

 Milazzo town is made up of an old part, or upper town, situated on the promontory to the north and culminating in the medieval castle, and by a modern part, or lower town, standing in the alluvial plain to the south.
The magnificent castle, national monument together with the ancient cathedral situated in the walled town (with an area over 7 hectares, 12.070 square metres of which are covered with buildings), stands out against the skyline of the old town in a panoramic as well as strategic position. Other important monuments testify the several stages of Milazzo's millennial history.
